All Things Are Connected

Foggy, Rainy Morning Meadow from Porch

"Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect."

I love that quote by Chief Seattle. I live in Missouri. This is the year that the 13 year cicadas emerge. When I sit on my porch, the cicada chorus ebbs and swells as one voice-like breathing-if I close my eyes and listen, my breathing comes into sync with the cicada chorus--so meditative and relaxing-being one with nature.
