Peacock Blue Barn Door?

Thanks Susan over at Between Naps on the Porch for the inspiration photo!
I need some opinions here ladies... how do you think this color, called Peacock Blue, would look for my front door; keeping in mind that I live in a cedar shingled converted barn in the middle of the woods...

Right now the front door is blah white. I've thought of red but I'm in one of those, "I want something different but cool" moods.  The only photo I could find of my front door was from this past winter (haven't gotten my external hard drive and other computer stuff moved back into the studio yet so please bare with me) :D
This is my front door currently blah, blah, blah white...

I know, it is probably screaming to be RED?!
Let me know what you all think, even if you have other color suggestions...

That peacock blue color is so pretty. I don't really have suggestions to help you out. Red would be nice too.

I think that would be BEAUTIFUL! Another color I would consider if it were for me is cobalt blue, which I love.

Hey, I have baked goodies coming out of the oven as I type. Do I put it on my blog and then link it to your patisserie post, or what?

Yes!!! RED, but the Blue would look good too or maybe even yellow! I am so jealous of all that snow.....something never seen in Louisiana!

I love the idea of a Peacock Blue door and I think it'd look fabulous!
I really want to paint our front door in a sage green, but the hubby needs more convincing still ;-)
I say just go for it! If you really don't like the end result, the worst case scenario is that you pick another colour and paint it again.
Have fun,
xx
GO for it..do it...now!!!!!! I can so see this with your beautiful house! I am 100% sure that the tone of that blue with the color of your wood is just going to snap!!!! Let us know what you do!!!

Peacock Blue is one of my favorite colors so I would paint that color in a flash and I think it would be very pretty on your door...The thing is you need to like that color...What is your favorite color...I would start there and then work from that color....What is your favorite color?

Be different. Red is very classic with your type of home, but I think peacock blue would be so WOW!!!

My first thought was red. Sorry. I have to admit that. However, if you wanna go wild, and that's cool, go with the peacock- it's a great color! If you don't like it, it's only paint. Give it a whirl! And post pix! :)

I think it would complement the shakes perfectly! Jewel-tones are excellent for doors, I think.
Must confess that every time I build something (sheds come to mind) I have Big Plans about painting, and spend hours thinking about colors. Then as I build whatever it is (oh, let's say a shed, for instance) I fall in love with the wood and I never paint anything. So please allow me to live vicariously through your bolder approach! :)
I say go for it. It's just paint and you can go over it if you don't like it. BUT it really is screaming for RED. A red door means "Welcome to our Home."

Sorry not much help!
Still love me?
